Discovering the story behind the locally famous Lyke Wake Walk. The route is an ancient 40-mile pilgrimage across the North York Moors, a harsh and bleak path used by coffin bearers carrying their dead from remote villages to the burial ground at the coast. The people, church, coffins and old inn are modelled out of paper and filmed the gifs using stop-motion animation.
A closer look at the models, filming and development.
